Objectives

To support young people (ages 17-21) to transition into adulthood in England. We provided: English for British Values and Culture in the UK Courses, to improve their English proficiency of participants and enhancing their understanding of British values and culture. Improved language skills enable participants to communicate more effectively in their daily lives and better integrate into British society. Cultural understanding helps them navigate societal norms and expectations, leading to smoother adaptation and a greater sense of belonging. Cultural Trips – offered a deep dive into British history and culture, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of their new home. Coffee and Board Game Day: Provided a relaxed setting for participants to practice their English, build friendships, and enhance their social networks. Youth Leadership Training Course, Youth Forums in discussion with local councillors and MPs.

Achievements

275 young people (ages 17-21) completed the ‘Positive Youth Pathways’ programme from January 2024 until March 2025. Participants were from Afghan Resettlement Programmes, Ukrainian Schemes, and Hong Kong BNO Scheme across West Yorkshire.
