PATH Yorkshire is a registered charity established in 1985 in Leeds. For the past 36 years we have worked with black, Asian and minority ethnic individuals to enable them to enter and progress in training, learning and employment. Specifically, we have:

  • Developed a range of graduate traineeships which have enabled talented graduates to access managerial positions
  • Supported employers to develop inclusive recruitment and selection practices
  • Enabled hundreds of individuals to access meaningful employment in the private, public and third sectors through our PATH traineeships
  • Campaigned and lobbied locally, regionally and nationally, opening the doors to opportunities for training, employment and learning

Having led the growth and development of PATH for the past six years, our current CEO is moving on to pastures new and we’re looking for someone who can guide us through a changing landscape, reconnecting us with our original aims, principles and values whilst responding creatively to new needs.

We’re looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who’s interested in a role where they can make a real difference to the life chances of the people we work with. The successful candidate may have a background in charities, employment, business development, or (and) training but we’re open to excellent candidates from any relevant professional background.

An exciting position has become available to work within the CAWBLS (Centre for apprenticeships, work-based learning and skills) team at Leeds Trinity University as a Senior Administrator The role will report to the Apprenticeships Compliance Manager and will involve liaising with students, employers, sub-contractors and internal departments to ensure a high quality of administrative support is provided across all apprenticeships. 

The successful candidate will have knowledge of Apprenticeships and how they operate within a higher education institution and the funding associated with them. 

The role will work within a team which focuses on apprenticeships and is a key role in ensuring key communication methods are used both internally and externally.

Senior Administrator – Short Courses

Hours of Work: Full time        

Contract type: Permanent     

Salary: The starting salary will be from £22,847 up to £27,116 per annum in Grade 5, depending on qualifications and experience 

Leeds Trinity University is committed to developing a strong, cohesive offer of short courses, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), micro-credentials and other commercial courses and workshops which meet the needs of our stakeholders (schools, businesses and other employers), 

We are seeking an individual with strong administration and organisational skills.  Applicants should have a positive mind set, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to deliver exceptional customer service as part of a small team.  Knowledge of commercial courses/training, and an understanding of work-based learning would be an advantage but is not essential. 

This post will support University staff who are developing and delivering courses.  Located within the Centre for Apprenticeships, Work-based Learning & Skills, the successful candidate will help to develop new systems and processes for the administration of short courses as well as more established work-based learning programmes.  The role will focus on organising and supporting the delivery of courses, including organising bookings, communicating with course participants and relevant internal department, and identifying appropriate promotional channels.

Senior Corporate Communications Officer

Hours of Work: Full-time

Salary: The starting salary will be from £27,924 up to £33,309 per annum in Grade 6, depending on qualifications and experience

Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, the Senior Corporate Communications Officer has responsibility for delivering corporate and internal communications to raise the profile of Leeds Trinity University, and ensure effective two-way staff engagement.

Working as part of a busy team, you will work on strategic media relations, crisis communications and our corporate social media channels, focusing on best practice and evaluation. You will also write, edit and proof-read copy for all corporate communication platforms, including internal updates, speeches and presentations, and support the development of key external stakeholder relationships.

We are seeking an experienced communications professional who is innovative, creative and collaborative. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer or University Teacher/Senior University Teacher in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation

Hours of Work: Full time        

Contract type: Permanent     

Salary: The starting salary will be from £34,304 to £50,296 per annum in Grade 7/8,    depending on qualifications and experience 

Within the expanding Department of Sport, Health and Physical Education (SHAPE), we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, collaborative, high performing member of staff to contribute to and lead our Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation programme.  You will have expertise and experience in and be able to contribute to the teaching of sports therapy and rehabilitation (and potentially other sport & exercise programmes).  The University is well resourced, has a significant reputation for high-quality teaching and student experience, and has a recently installed sports therapy and rehabilitation clinic, movement analysis suite, as well as a sport & exercise science laboratory and strength & conditioning facility.  The successful candidate will teach a range of modules across our sports therapy & rehabilitation programme, support teaching within clinics, provide pastoral and subject student support, supervise projects and placements, and undertake administrative and managerial tasks associated with the above.  You will also undertake research/knowledge exchange and/or professional practice and scholarship commensurate with the post to which you are appointed. 

Applicants should be a graduate in sports therapy & rehabilitation or closely related field, hold a relevant Masters degree, be a member of a relevant professional body and have relevant experience according to the person specification. 

Hours of work will be 35 hours per week and a degree of flexibility is expected.  Working days will typically be Monday to Friday, but some evening and weekend work may be expected (as agreed with the line manager).

Progress Tutor – Professional Policing

Hours of Work: 35

Duration: Permanent

Salary:  The starting salary will be from £34,304 up to £36,382 per annum in Grade 7a, depending on qualifications and experience

Applications are invited for the role of Progress Tutor, to support and monitor student officers on our two work-based programmes: the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and the Graduate Diploma in Professional Policing Practice which are delivered in partnership with West Yorkshire Police. The successful applicants will be responsible for supporting a group of student officers throughout their programme, through induction, regular Progress Review meetings, and as a point of contact for additional personal, academic or progress-related support. You will develop a good knowledge of the programmes, and the services available at both Leeds Trinity University and West Yorkshire Police.

We are seeking individuals with some experience of supporting students in a work-place setting. Knowledge of degree/higher apprenticeships would be an advantage, as would professional experience and/or experience of Further or Higher Education delivery in academic areas such as police studies, criminology, law, sociology and other social sciences. Above all the successful applicants need to be able to demonstrate a passion for learning and a commitment to providing the highest level of student and learning support.

Hours of work will be 35 hours per week. Progress review meetings will be held at a variety of locations in West Yorkshire as well as via Microsoft Teams.
