Objectives

A 6-month Employment and Entrepreneurship Project to upskill and reskill 25 ethnic minority women (ages 25-49 yrs old) who were unemployed or economically inactive but with permission to work in the UK, including unpaid carers and parents returning to work after long-term career breaks, identified as furthest away from the labour market.

Achievements

25 ethnic women (UK Citizens/British passport holders) who were long-term unemployed or economically inactive completed Training and Qualification related to their choice of employment or entrepreneurship goals. 38% moved into employment, 28% started their entrepreneurship from home, and 34% into active jobseeking. All 14 women who were economically inactive at start completed the project as unemployed, seeking employment after long-term career breaks, with 28% seeking for their first employment in UK.
