Leeds GATE would like to welcome you to our Heritage Open Days at our offices in Cross Green.
The heritage open days will be celebrating Gypsy and Traveller heritage in Leeds and West Yorkshire and will include:
- Display of an old Gypsy Vardo (Wagon)
- Traditional craft workshops and demonstrations
- Family history hub to trace your Gypsy Traveller ancestors
- An exhibition inspired by our Archives about Gypsies and Travellers and the history of civil rights and political protest
The events take place:
Thursday 8th September 2pm – 6:30 pm
Friday 9th September 2pm – 6:30 pm
VENUE: 169 Cross Green Lane, Leeds, LS9 0BD. There is plenty of on street parking around the area.
There will be refreshments available and there’s no need to book, just drop in at any time.
