Creating a Positive Culture In the Third Sector

Community and non-profit organisations are facing many challenges and are having to adapt and change to continue to meet its goals.

To respond to changes, organisations need confident, agile and strategic leaders to support staff and volunteers to develop and deliver. It also need staff and volunteers to demonstrate a solid character and positive work ethic by being responsible and accountable.

This event will support and enable organisations to face challenges and respond to changes by creating a positive culture, leading to improved capabilities and productivity.

Lead Speaker will be Jon Beech, current Director of Leeds Asylum Seekers Support Network (LASSN) and current Chair of the Leeds Migration Partnership, which brings together statutory and voluntary organisations to think and act strategically about migration. Previously, he managed community development and advocacy services in Touchstone, Health Watch Leeds, Mind and Shelter.

Sonja Woodcock from Voluntary Action Leeds will talk about Volunteering and its Impact on Third Sector Organisations. She will also present and discuss the recent Volunteers Survey by Voluntary Action Leeds.

Michael Millward, People Management/HR Specialist and Member of Leeds Chamber Advisory Group on Economic Empowerment, will present Organisational Best Practices from a HR Perspective.

Who should attend this event? Staff, Managers and Board Members of Charities, Non-Profit and Community Organisations.
